This beautiful forest was originally populated by oaks, then as a result of the work of the charcoal and the necessity of obtaining fields for the cultivation of cereals were unfortunately the results were severe for the mountain slopes, causing erosion problems in the months of heavy rain, which is why this whole area was repopulated by small pines and oaks which reoccupied the land that should never be lost.

As we ascended leaving behind the Recreation Area Slope, iron compounds gave a russet tone gastoreña countryside captivated us, whitewashed houses, steep streets and traditional architecture make this town has a special charm to our back was the belfry of the Church of San José .

Anecdotally, some participants wondered whether this was also a Dolmen , because if we answer, this is the Dolmen of Rest and we let up on the mountain was Dolmen Retreat, Grace laughed and continued to decline.

Again we crossed the pine to enter The Gastor its charming streets We gave way to reach Town Hall Square , shortly after we met with the rest of the group.

Isidro The Town Crier

The office of town crier is so remote and strange, his mission was to disseminate a news by proclamation, loudly, slowly, at strategic points in the streets and squares gastoreñas.

The Patch Isidro was a cave where he lived, was a simple and humble man, surprised the villagers with their speed, as they walked endless miles on foot in a short time.

The Gastor paid tribute to the character by name to one of the squares of the town, located in the Patch , because as a man who could not read or write who fulfilled the righteous role exercised his office of " messenger and herald."

Coincidence or not Algarín Street also known as the Sierra gave us the parting of the Villa del Gastor .
